DESIGN STORY

Standing under the mesmerising, art-deco glass dome ceiling of the Bolsa Palace in Porto, our designer found inspiration for the intricate lattice details, striking square shapes, and stained glass like hues. Capturing the magical moment of looking up to the sky through the glass, the central, emerald-cut sapphire or emerald scatters light across its facets to create a domed effect, whilst the square, gold bezel-setting and outer rim of diamonds mirror the palace’s four walls.

MADE TO ORDER

Our team of skilled UK goldsmiths make each of our ethical engagement rings by hand, the old way. Handcrafted fine jewellery takes time so please allow us 2-3 weeks to source your stones and hand make your ring to order.

Choosing the right ring size can be a little difficult, whether it's for yourseful, a partner or a friend. To make things easy, just follow our tips:

Use an existing ring

Download the app 'Ring Sizer'. Place your phone on a flat surface and your existing ring on the screen. It will tell you the exact size.

Measuring your finger

You can purchase an accurate plastic ring sizer from on the web-site here which will be posted first class to you. If you opt to measure your ring finger using one, there are a few things to be aware of:

  • Your fingers will change size slightly throughout the day. Physical activity and temperature all have an effect

  • Don't measure your ring size whilst your hands are cold, as your fingers can be half a size smaller at this time.

  • A ring with a wider band will feel a little tigther than a very fine ring. Lylie's would recommend buying a size larger than your usual size for such designs
